      It really depends on what chocolate and what snack you’re eating.
      If it’s something like a solid block of Dairy Milk, it’s still edible up to a year later. Although it will look a bit white. A lot of the fat in chocolate is stuck in a crystal structure. The fat that isn’t can move through the solid chocolate and turns into the white stuff on your chocolate bar (yum…)

      If it’s something like Whole Nut or Fruit & Nut, I wouldn’t eat it past the use buy date. The fruit and nuts might be stale. Also if it’s a coated biscuit like a digestive then the biscuit will probably go bad before the chocolate does.
