      Heya!

      I chose separate science, textiles, PE and ICT. So actually quite varied! I think career wise A levels are more of a considering factor as at GCSE you still cover all important bases 🙂

      I did design and technology subjects and the maths/science subjects which I think give a good foundation for engineering.

      I chose maths, physics, chemistry, modern studies, art, graphic design, English and Spanish.
      The main ones for my job are maths, physics and English.

      PS I’m Scottish so did standard grades. They’re pretty much the same thing 🙂

      For GCSEs you can keep it fairly broad as far as the optional subjects go. I did double (combined) science and then chose history, graphic design and business studies.
      It’s perhaps A levels or the equivalent ‘vocational’ subjects that are more important for choosing and engineering career.

      I did maths, physics, chemistry and biology. All of them related to science and engineering.
