      Heya Joey!

It was actually rather by accident! I was never to fond of engineering (I studied chemical) at university as I couldn’t find anything to apply myself to. I’ve always been a nerd, but was a little lost. Then in my final year we had to complete a masters design project and I was given one on meat.

However this wasn’t any meat, it was meat that could change the world! It was meat you could grow in the lab.

ANd suddenly my whole world changed. I found my passion in life, I wanted (and still do) to eradicate factory farming and I have found a way to begin to do this.

So it was with inspiration from my supervisor Dr. Marianne Ellis, my now PhD funders New Harvest and a team of fantastic friends and family that I set out to create my own research proposal and search for funding for a PhD. It’s been a long road, but so rewarding and worth it 🙂

So it was sort of serendipity (a beautiful accident) that it happened. And I work a lot of jobs before I found this one I love. Life is a voyage of discovery 🙂

      Have a fab day!

      Abi
